What is a bare root evergreen transplant?
Grown from 2 to 3 year old seedlings for an additional 1 to 2 years, transplants are ideal for field planting because they are thicker and stronger than seedlings, and have longer and more developed root systems to reach deeper water sources. Sizes range anywhere from 8 to 20 inches [not including roots] depending on the species, but most of our transplants average 10 to 16 inches.
