What is an evergreen seedling?

Germinated from seed and grown for two or three years, seedlings are often transplanted by wholesalers for field growing, but require significant care [especially during hot or dry weather]. Our evergreen seedling sizes range from 5 to 20 inches [not including roots] depending on the species, but most of our seedlings average 8 to 14 inches.
