Douglas Fir have been planted as lumber\/timber stock for decades, and established themselves early in the 20th century as one of the primary species grown as Christmas trees.<\/p>\n

Today Pseudotsuga menziesii are almost universally harvested from tree farms, not from the wild, and have been one of the backbone species of the lumber industry for hundreds of years. This species thrives in its native environments of the western United States, from California to its true stronghold of Oregon and Washington.<\/p>\n
