A long-needled fast growing pine, Red Pine plug seedlings reach heights of up to 120 feet, with a bare trunk reaching over halfway up the tree at maturity. This bare trunk is a result of this species’ tendency to self-prune lower branches, making it a poor choice for privacy but excellent for lumber production.
